Type West 2023

In 2023, I was a student in the Type West Programme based in SF. We learned in depth about type history and type design. The first semester we did a revival typeface based on an existing type, and at the end of the year we made another typeface that we can call our own. My typeface is called Pasteur and it’s inspired by the cheesestamps on the Parmagiano Reggiano rinds. The most fun I had during Typewest was making all the illustrated posters and assets to showcase the type itself. Proving once and for all that I’m still more of an illustrator afterall.
